In 1947. the order of the Ministry of labor reserves of the USSR of July 19, № 355 for the training of specialists in the field of construction was formed Minsk industrial College of the Ministry of labor reserves of the USSR.
The first Director of the College Semenov Peter Andreevich picked up a wonderful pedkollektiv, laid many traditions.

The College began its activity in the building of the former secondary school on K. libknechta street, 32, preserved during the war, on the basis of the vocational school № 3. On the ground floor were equipped with a locksmith, carpentry and turning and milling workshops, as well as a dining room. On the second floor there were classrooms and administration rooms, on the third – a hostel (in the former classes of the school lived students of the College for 15-20 people in the room).

The first set consisted of 90 people in three specialties: carpenters, locksmiths, cold Metalworking.
The College trained specialists for Belarus, as well as for the regions of the Russian Federation - Smolensk, Bryansk, Pskov and others, and later for Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.

In 1948 the second reception of pupils was made. Accepted for study 90 people, three groups of specialties:
    - joiners;
    - carpenters;
    - bricklayers.

Since that time, the College specializes as a construction, preparing masters of industrial training only for construction vocational schools. In 1951 the first release is made. 12 people from 90 graduates received a diploma with honors. The first set consisted of 90 people in three specialties: carpenters, locksmiths, cold Metalworking. The College trained specialists for Belarus, as well as for the regions of the Russian Federation - Smolensk, Bryansk, Pskov and others, and later for Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. In 1958, on the basis of the order of the Main Department of labor reserves of the USSR of October 6, № 280 in the College opened correspondence Department in the field of "Industrial and civil construction" and "Sanitary engineering of buildings."

Since July 4, 1960 Minsk industrial and pedagogical technical College of vocational education is under the jurisdiction of the State Committee of the Council of Ministers of the USSR for vocational education.
In 1972 for success in educational work for training, the College was awarded a diploma of the BSSR Supreme Council and the Red Banner of the Central Committee VLKSM. The College became the best among 72 industrial-pedagogical technical schools of the USSR.

Since 1978, the College has been training foreign students from 17 countries.  
The Industrial-pedagogical College met its 30th anniversary in the newly opened new educational building on Matusevich street, the building of educational workshops was put into operation, two nine-storey dormitories were built.      In 1996 industrial-pedagogical technical schools of Minsk, Vitebsk and Pinsk were transformed into industrial-pedagogical colleges. The curricula and programmes are being amended and more attention is being paid to General education, General professional and pedagogical disciplines.      Since July 25, 2000, the Minsk industrial pedagogical College attached to the Institution of education "Republican Institute of professional education" (order of the Ministry of education of the Republic Belarus from 25.07.2000 № 342) and renamed the educational center "industrial and pedagogical College" Educational Institutions "Republican Institute of professional education".     In connection with the improvement of the structure of UO RIPO educational center "Industrial-pedagogical College" reorganized into a branch of "Industrial-pedagogical College" educational institutions "Republican Institute of vocational education". 

Today the branch of IPK UO RIPO works on the updated curricula and programs, the list of specialties on which training of specialists is conducted is expanded. The main objective of the teaching staff of the branch of IPK UO RIPO - training competitive specialist, improving the educational process, learning technologies, teaching methods.
